Description
Sango means coral — the treasure divers of old Japan pulled from the sea for combs and shrine ornaments. This Chrisraw aloha sinks you into that reef: vermilion coral branches, temari-patterned urchins, sea bream, fugu and shrimp weaving through cobalt water drawn in woodblock line. Dense as a reef should be, and every creature in it Japanese.
